Below are images that someone photographed as they were evacuating the towers. The real problem with evacuation was the fact that it would take two to three hours to get everyone safely out of the towers - they collapsed well within 1.5 hours. There are stories where supervisors were advising employees to go back to their desk and wait - everything was o.k. Unfortunately, no one believed the towers would collapse.

It is easy to see from these photographs that the stairs were actually inadequate for the vast number of people in the building with a catastrophe like this going on, FDNY guys going up the stairs and everyone else leaving...  very slowly indeed. Again, no one thought the buildings would collapse.

There must be lessons to learn from the WTC tower collapse - the design must have contributed to the death toll - it's easy to suggest otherwise, but anyone who looks at the pictures can see that this must have been a contributing factor.

This website reflects a personal view of the tragedy that unfolded itself in front of my eyes while I was on vacation in Florida in The USA. I would like to give my sincerest condolences to all of the victims relatives. The victims were all completely innocent were unknown to the perpetrators and in many cases lost their lives - there is no higher quality from any individual than to give their life for others.
